Betsy in Spite of Herself

Title: Betsy in Spite of Herself
Author: Maud Hart Lovelace
Hannah's Rating: 5 stars
Genre: Realistic Fiction

Summary: "Betsy is now a sophomore, and she and her "Crowd" are in the thick of things at Deep Valley High School. Between parties, exams, and her duties as class secretary, Betsy's got her hands full. But she's not too busy to notice the new boy in town - the oh-so-cosmopolitan Phil Brandish. If only she could make him notice her!"

Hannah's Review: I like this book because it's interesting to see what they did at the time.  My favorite part of the book was when Joe (this guy she likes) defended her from one of her teachers about a poem she wrote.

I would recommend this book to any girl who likes adventures and funny stories and friendship.

This is the sixth book in the Betsy-Tacy Book Series by Maud Hart Lovelace.
