Betsy-Tacy

Title:  Betsy-Tacy
Author:  Maud Hart Lovelace
Hannah's Rating:  5 stars
Genre:  Realistic Fiction

Summary:  One day, in the winter, when Betsy was outside she saw a girl who just moved into the house next door.  Her mom told her to go and say hi.  So Betsy went up and asked her name.  Tacy didn't tell her because she was so shy.  Betsy asked her to her 5th birthday party.  They become best friends.  In the book they play games that Betsy made up.  They picnic, explore, dress up, visit people, and in the end meet a new friend Tib.  She lives in this beautiful chocolate-colored house.  I will tell more about her in the next book.

Hannah's Review:  I like this book because I was excited to see what would happen to Betsy and Tacy.  I think their friendship was good because Betsy is really adventurous and Tacy is shy so Betsy ended up helping Tacy not be as shy.  I don't really have a reason to not like it.

I would recommend this book to any girl who likes adventures and funny stories and friendship.

This is the first book in the Betsy-Tacy Book Series by Maud Hart Lovelace.  I will review the others later.
